Leaf Collection & Schedule
Leaf Collection
Leaves are collected in the spring and fall. The leaf collection schedule is posted in local newspapers and the Winter/Spring Newark City Municipal e-newsletter.

The city is divided in to five routes that are assigned to the same day each week during the fall and spring. Depending on the quantities and limited equipment, a route will often not be completed on the assigned day. The next week on the same day crews will start on the same route where they left off the previous week.

The city provides leaf collection as a seasonal service to its residents.Spring leaf collection begins on Monday, March 18, 2013 and continues through Friday, April 5, 2013.

Note: Do not rake leaves into the curb. The leaves should be raked into a pile located on the space between the sidewalk and the curb.
