Introducing Customer Connect, the City of Newark's upgraded utility portal!

site may be down for maintenance each Tuesday from 10am until 12 noon EST. Access will be unavailable.

The City of Newark is pleased to announce the launch of Customer Connect, a new online portal to your utility account. The advanced upgrade provides you with interactive modules and access to more current, detailed information related to your water and electric consumption. Sign up to monitor your usage with easy-to-read charts, enroll in electronic billing, schedule custom alerts, make automatic payments, enroll in level budget billing, analyze utility bills and request service directly through your Customer Connect portal.

Please note that your eCare account was disabled last year when Customer Connect was launched, and we ask that you re-register your account in Customer Connect by visiting the new Customer Connect portal at https://payments.cityofnewarkde.us. Please be sure to have a valid, active e-mail address and your most recent utility bill handy during registration. You will need both as part of the account validation process.

We look forward to your feedback and we are happy to assist you throughout this transition. Please feel free to contact us at 302-366-7000 Monday through Friday should you need any assistance during the enrollment process. Service by phone is available 8:30 a.m. through 4 p.m.

To mail a payment, address the envelope to:
City of Newark
P.O. Box 13447
Philadelphia, PA  19101

The City utilizes a Newark banking branch for all banking activity, while utility payments are directed to the regional lockbox address above to ensure they are processed in a timely manner. The Payments and Utility Billing Department is open to accept walk-in payments Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
