For information regarding collection events or household hazardous waste, please contact

Did you know the City of Newark offers curbside recycling in your neighborhood? It's true! The City of Newark has implemented a city-wide, single-stream recycling program. This means you can place all City of Newark approved recyclables together in a wheeled cart. There is no sorting required!

  • Telephone / Soft Cover Books
  • Junk Mail / Envelopes (all types)
  • Paper
  • Paperboard (cereal / tissue boxes)

  • Narrow-Neck Plastic Bottles
  • Plastic Groccery Bags
  • Milk Jugs, Bleach / Detergent, Shampoo Bottles
  • Glass Bottles / Jars (any color)
  • Metal Cans (tin / steel / aluminum)
